Asia Argento and Ashton Whitty
Ashton Blaise Whitty, an actress, was born on 1 October 1995, in Berkeley, California. She is best known as an actress who has appeared on screen in Choices (2011), The Heart and Other Small Shapes (2004) and Chrissie Mair's Content House.
Asia Argento was born in Rome, Italy, into the family of actors as well as filmmakers, both occupations which she's taken up. In 1985 she made her acting debut in Sergio Citti's Sogni e bisogni. In 1988, she played the lead role in Cristina Comencini's first film, Zoo (1988), as well as being one of the actors in The Church (1989), directed by Michele Soavi. The following year she played Nanni Moretti's daughter in Red Wood Pigeon (1989) (also directed by Moretti). Close Friends (1992) by Michele Placido (both writer and director) was the point at which Asia truly began to become a household name. The film helped her move from the roles of young females to more sophisticated, mature characters. The film received an enthusiastic reception in the Cannes International Film Festival. Trauma was her first film created with her father. Her mother, Daria Nicoledi, is Argento's favorite actress. in Trauma she played an orexic searching for the killer of her parents. The Phantom of the Opera marks her third collaboration alongside her dad. The others are Trauma and The Stendhal Syndrome. Giuseppe Piccioni's Condannato A Nozze demonstrated Asia's intense style that she exhibited in her performing. In 1993, she portrayed Arianna in Carlo Verdone's Perdiamoci di vista, a role so complex that she won the David di Donatello Award for best actress. Also, she was a part of the part in the international cast of Queen Margot which was directed by Patrice Chereau. In 1995 Asia worked with Michel Piccoli to produce Peter Del Monte's Traveling Companion, for which she won a David di Donatello. Asia started directing short films in 1994. Two of them were made: Prospettive In 1996, she directed a documentary about her father, and Abel/Asia from 1998. Both focused on the cult film director Abel Ferrara. This latter was awarded by the Rome Film Festival. Asia began directing her first feature film in 1999 with Scarlet Diva (2000). She was also the main performer, as well as the creator of the script. In May of 2000, the film premiered in Italy and across the world. It received a prestigious award by the Williamsburg Film festival in Brooklyn. In 2001, following the directing of numerous music videos the actress gave birth to the first of her daughters, Anna Lou. In 2002, she was featured in The Red Siren directed by Olivier Megaton and starred alongside Jean-Marc Barr. Rob Cohen also directed the action thriller together with Vin Diesel. Asia is the writer of numerous short stories that were released in several magazines.
